After seeing the image below, several people expressed an interest in seeing a
tutorial to explain my method of creating newsprint. I hope the following pages
will help explain my techniques. Since this is my first attempt at creating a
tutorial, I will not be responsible for any hair you may tear out while trying to
follow it.

This image was created as part of the "WET" series of exercises posted in the
newsgroup alt.binaries.comp-graphics. The object of the exercise was to
include the image of the Egytptian ruins into some work of computer
artistry. With the exception of that image, and the picture of an Olmec
Were-Jaguar (from an acrylic painting of mine), the composition above was
created entirely in Photoshop.

The following tutorial will attempt to lead you through my creative process
for the newsprint portion of Lightning Strikes Clown .
